Herbal Share Program

Wonderment Gardens is pleased to introduce our Herbal Share Program. Beginning January, 2015 we will offer “shares” to the public consisting of 5 boxes per year, one for each season plus a holiday box.  Delivered right to your door.

The herbal share Program is based on the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) model.  For over 25 years, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) has become a popular way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food, and farming products directly from the farmer.   Wonderment Gardens herbal shares program (HSP) is based on this idea.

Herbal Highlight

Arnica – Arnica spp.

Arnica is primarily thought of as an external remedy.  It has been used for hundreds of years to relieve the muscular pain and soreness associated with overexertion, advanced stages of disease, bruises, and pain from repetitive motion, sprains, strains and broken bones.  Its use is specifically indicated when there is soreness or pain upon movement, and it works very well and is helpful when heat is applied to the area.  Externally, Arnica is applied to the skin as a cream, ointment, liniment, salve, oil, infusion or tincture.

How Herbal Healing Works – Part 1

The 5 Elements and their use in Holistic Healing

According to the ancients there are 5 elements of which everything in the world is made.  These are space, air, fire, water and earth.  Let’s not think of these elements in their gross physical form but in a subtle way consisting of qualities.

  • Space or Either is subtle, dry, cold, formless, pervading, light (not heavy), smooth and still.
  • Air is mobile (moving), dry, erratic, cold, light, clear, and rough.
  • Fire is hot, sharp, spreading, transformational, liquefying, intense, and drying
  • Water is wet, flowing, nourishing, soft, cool, smooth, cleansing and heavy
  • Earth is hard, dull, hard, stable, solid, cool, heavy, and gross.          Read More.
