We’ve Changed our Name

It’s official, we’ve changed our name to Wonderment Gardens.  With the change, and the new growing season we’ve added a new greenhouse, two new gardens and a host of projects to keep us busy.  The goal is still the same, to help each person experience their highest state of health,wholeness and happiness. We still wildcraft most of the herbs and are now growing several more.  All of our products are still made in small batches , by hand, from scratch using the finest natural and organic ingredients available.  The new website is also up and operating.  Please check it out at www.wondermentgardens.com.
this is a busy time of year (of course when isn’t).  Enclosed you’ll find information on Yoga Classes offered in the Southern Black Hills, current workshop information, and herbal show schedules.  It would be wonderful if you could come by and say hello!  Hope to see you soon.

A traditional Hatha Yoga Class suitable for all levels.

Advanced Yoga Studies/Individualized Teacher Training
7:00 – 9:00 2x per month

An in-depth study of yoga, including it’s many tools of yoga and their practical applications, .  We hope to create a sangha (a like minded group of individuals) to support and love each other through life’s many changes.

Thursdays in Hot Springs

1:00 – 2:00 pm – Healing Yoga
A gentle healing class a step or two more physical than the chair class.  Especially suited for seniors or those suffering from chronic illness, physical issues and chronic pain.  All are welcome.  Participants may be standing, sitting and lying down.

4:00 – 4::30 pm – Chair Yoga Class
Designed for the elderly and physically challenged, our focus in on creating a long smooth breath, increasing mobility and range of motion and pain management.  Everyone is welcome.

6:30 – 7:45 pm – Hatha Yoga
A traditional Hatha Yoga Class that may use the primary tools of asana, pranayama, visualization, chanting and meditation to move toward a state of health, happiness and harmony.

Introduction to Vedic Chanting

Ancient yogis considered sound to be the fundamental element of the universe with everything literally being constructed of sound.  The Sanskrit language is based on sound as a science.  The idea being that each letter and word contains a unique vibrational quality that is a reflection of the natural world.  Through Vedic Chant and mantra we are able to access and integrate these different qualities into our own system profoundly affecting every dimension of our lives.
This workshop will give a basic introduction to the art and discipline of Vedic Chant.  Through time honored methods of instruction found in the Vedas, explore listening and chanting as an integrated experience for body, mind and breath.

Pranayama – and Experiential Overview.

The ancient sages taught that prana, the vital force circulating through us, can be cultivated and channeled through breathing exercises.   In the process, the mind is calmed, rejuvenated, and uplifted.  Pranayama serves as an important bridge between the outward, active practices of yoga—like asana—and the internal, surrendering practices that lead us into deeper states of meditation.  In this workshop you will experience how various techniques of pranayama affect the mind and body, and how to use these practices to improve physical, mental and spiritual health.
