Spring Herb Walk and Herbal Preparation Workshop
Saturday, June 13th 2015
10:00 am to 12:00 Noon Herb Walk
1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Harvesting and Preparations
In the morning explore natures spring offerings with local herbalist Annie Jones on an informative and fun country herb walk. We will discuss the medicinal properties of plants as well as some botanical tools to aid in plant identification. Wear appropriate clothing for the weather and bring water, a notebook and pen.
In the afternoon learn how to harvest, dry and process herbs to make usable products for your family’s health and well-being. In this hands on mini-workshop we will be making a minimum of 1 each infused oil, tea and tinctures as well as talk about how to dry and store herbs for future use.
