Bio-regional Herbalism for Home and Family Use

Join clinical herbalist and wildcrafter Annie Jones as we explore medicinal plants common to the Southern Black Hills. In this 6-week class you will gain a solid foundation in herbalism for personal and family use. Students will;
- Build a materia medica of 30-40 medicinal plants local to the Black Hills and the Midwestern and mountain United States. including plant identification, stewardship, and harvesting for the most effective and potent use.
- Learn how the above herbs can treat many acute and chronic illnesses including respiratory infections, digestive illness, ear infections, sore throats, auto-immunity, first aid, menstrual issues and skin treatments.
- Get instruction on how to prepare and use a variety of herbal preparations including fresh tinctures, percolation tinctures, infused oils, salves, glycerites, teas, and syrups.
- Build a booklet of herbal formulas for your reference and personal use including an introduction to the basics of individual formulation.
Beginning May 15, 2017 1 week of class material will be released each week. We will meet on Wednesdays for a live question and answer session beginning May 17th at 6:30 pm Mountain time.
Cost of class $175 for Members and $200 for non-members. Includes all handouts and materials.
