Bio-regional Herbalism for Home and Family Use
May 15 – June 19, 2017

Course will include a minimum of 2 hours pre-recorded course material each week. Plus 1 live Q&A session on Wednesday evenings 6:30 pm Mountain Time. (recorded)

Join clinical herbalist and wildcrafter Annie Jones as we explore medicinal plants common to the Southern Black Hills. In this 6-week class you will gain a solid foundation in herbalism for personal and family use. Students will;

  1. Build a materia medica of 30-40 medicinal plants local to the Black Hills and the Midwestern and mountain United States. including plant identification, stewardship, and harvesting for the most effective and potent use.
  2. Learn how the above herbs can treat many acute and chronic illnesses including respiratory infections, digestive illness, ear infections, sore throats, auto-immunity, first aid, menstrual issues and skin treatments.
  3. Get instruction on how to prepare and use a variety of herbal preparations including fresh tinctures, percolation tinctures, infused oils, salves, glycerites, teas, and syrups.
  4. Build a booklet of herbal formulas for your reference and personal use including an introduction to the basics of individual formulation.

Beginning May 15, 2017 1 week of class material will be released each week. We will meet on Wednesdays for a live question and answer session beginning May 17th at 6:30 pm Mountain time.

Cost of class $175 for Members and $200 for non-members. Includes all handouts and materials.

      Every Wednesday. I’ll be connecting with the folks in the class about the specifics. We may try to change to Tuesday depending on schedules and preferences.
