Herbal Share Program

Wonderment Gardens is pleased to introduce our Herbal Share Program. Beginning January, 2015 we will offer “shares” to the public consisting of 5 boxes per year, one for each season plus a holiday box.  Delivered right to your door.

The herbal share Program is based on the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) model.  For over 25 years, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) has become a popular way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food, and farming products directly from the farmer.   Wonderment Gardens herbal shares program (HSP) is based on this idea.

Rosemary – Rosemarinus officinalis

Rosemary has been used for centuries as a remedy for headache, colic, colds, indigestion and to relieve muscle pain and spasms.  It is used to support the circulatory and nervous systems, improve memory and relieve stress.  Rosemary wine, made by infusing Rosemary herb in white wine, and Rosemary tincture are taken in small quantities to quiet a weak heart, ease heart palpitation, and to relieve and reduce the buildup of fluids by stimulating the kidneys, increasing the output of urine. Long term daily intake of rosemary has been shown in studies to prevent thrombosis (the formation of blood clots inside a blood vessel). Read More

Herbal Oils

What are Herbal Infused Oils?
Herbal-infused oils, also known as herbal-medicated oils are oil based medicinal preparations made extracting the medicinal qualities of specific herbs into vegetable oils, like Olive or Sesame oil. They are applied externally and impact the human system on very deep levels.

The skin is the largest organ of the body and is semi-permeable. So when you apply herbal oils to the skin, it is absorbed into the blood stream and routed through the body, completely bypassing the digestive system. Herbal oils are generally applied warm because this relaxes the nervous system and opens the pores, allowing the process to happen more efficiently. The smell of the oils can also impact the psyche very quickly as the olfactory senses stimulate the pineal gland almost instantaneously. Read More

More about Annie Jones – Herbalist

There are many ways to look at herbs and how to use them. When I first trained in Herbal Medicine, we learned the typical western model of “this is good for that.” This model isn’t much different from the Western Allopathic Medical model and strives to use herbs like little medicines. Each herb was studied in depth; we learned a lot about chemical constituents, herbal actions and western anatomy. All was great and useful information.  Still there were many unanswered questions.  Read More

Tension Tamer Herbal Oil

A lovely blended oil that is both calming and relaxing for body, mind and spirit. Tension tamer is made by infusing Arnica flowers, Rosemary leaves, and Lavender flowers in Olive and Apricot oils. We then add an essential oil blend that includes Lavindin Grosso, Rosemary, Geranium and Rose. The result is a soothing, calming and relaxing oil that feels and smells great.

Use it to relieve stubborn tension and pain in muscles and joints, especially if the problem is caused by stress, strain, trauma and overwork. Apply it to your body in self message, put it in your bath, or use it on someone you love to relax physically, mentally and emotionally.                                                            More Info
